We are proud of this and are doing everything technically and humanly possible for this important feat!

Today, the PlasmidFactory has 27 employees and is currently working at full speed and on an exceptional scale on the production of components for vaccine production in addition to scientific research and optimization. "We are proud of this and are doing everything technically and humanly possible for this important feat!" says Dr. Martin Schleef about the status of production.
No less important is the company's outstanding contribution to research in the field of cancer therapy. PlasmidFactory has developed and patented a method with which so-called CAR-T cells can be produced. In contrast to conventional methods, this does not use viral vectors, but PlasmidFactory's proprietary minicircle technology. Corresponding products are currently undergoing clinical trials and initial successes have already been reported.
We would like to thank the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the European Commission (CLINIGENE network of excellence) for their financial and content-related support of our research activities, which have led to a successful expansion of our product range.
The PlasmidFactory team is delighted that OWL is moving to the center of biotechnology and knows how to celebrate its 20th anniversary - under corona conditions, of course!
